December 7th, 1941 - A Day That Will Live In Infamy

There will be remembrances next Wednesday as Americans recall Pearl Harbor Day and its significance – the horror, the lives lost, President Franklin Roosevelt’s speech, and the entrance of America into the Pacific War.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6th, Honor Flight Austin will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport about 12:15pm for a special Pearl Harbor Honor Flight to Washington D.C. It will arrive at Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) at 4:10pm.

Ten area WWII veterans will visit the White House and attend the 75th Pearl Harbor Anniversary event at the WWII Memorial.

The veterans will return on Wednesday, Dec. 7, departing from Reagan at 4:55 p.m. and arriving at AUS at 7:45 p.m., all times local.  There will be a welcome home greeting at the airport about 8pm on that, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
