The Blotter

  • Lampasas Police Dept. respondedto half a dozen animal complaints and one accident on the corner of 4th and Spring yesterday at 12:20. No injuries were reported.
  • There were three arrests asa 24 yr old Lampasas man was jailed in the 200 block ofN. Key on a municipal warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia,  a 50 yr old Lampasas man was jailed for evading arrest and public intoxication, and n 18 yr old man was taken into custody at 10:09 pm in the 200 block ofN. Gamel for possession of marijuana under two ounces in a drug free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a report of illegal burning and a crash in Copperas Cove, and a reported disturbance, illegal dumping, a trespassing call and recovered property in Kempner. Out in the county there were animal problems, civil matters, accidents and a request for extra patrol.
  • The jail log shows two arrests as a 41 yr old Kempner man was jailed for assault causing bodily injury of a family member, and 41 yr old Colin Stiefel of Valley Springs was jailed for possession of a controlled substance penalty grouptwo, more than four but less than 400 grams, possession of a controlled substance control group 1 in a drug free zone less than one gram, possession of marijuana less than two ounces in a drug free zone, three charges of unlawfully carrying of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Burn Ban in Lampasas County is lifted again.
