Lampasas Lady Badger Basketball moved into the winning column last night with stunning victories over Austin McCallum (49-36) and Austin Crockett (42-38) in the Austin Crockett tournament. The team is now 2-3 for the year.

In the first game Alexis Theus led the team with 13 points and Diane Hurst had 8, Kamri Corbin had 7. Against Crockett, Theus had 16 and Diane Hurst had 12.

Today the team will play Eastside Memorial at noon and St. Michael’s Academy at 6:30pm. On Saturday at 10:30am the girls will play Reagan and at 2pm Del Valle.

 The JV Lady Badgers were at Georgetown Eastview with losses to Hutto (21-45) and Westwood 14-54.

Lampasas Badger Basketball was to meet China Spring this afternoon, but that game was moved to Saturday instead. The 9th grade game was cancelled. The Saturday games include the JV at 11am and the Varsity at 12:30pm.

Lampasas Middle School Boys Basketball saw the 8th grade B team lose to Fredericksburg, there, in a 5pm tipoff game by a score of 20-51.  

Coach Christy Wiley reports that her 7th grade B girls beat Fredericksburg 44-10, hustling after every ball and playing awesome defense. Top three scorers were Rebekah Pearce with 16, Cobie Chandler with 10 and Angelina Cummins with 6. 

The 7th grade A lost a close game 29-30 with Laurcy Bender as high point girl with 21, followed by Allison Bertrand with 4 and Shaylee Wolfe and Kyleigh Ball each adding 2.

The 8th grade B girls lost 9-20 and the 8th grade A won a close one 46-41. Every girl on the team scored but leading were LeAnn Parker with 15, Avery Hamrick with 7 and Taylor Allen had 6.
