4-H Week wrapping up

Guests on Ken Gontarek and crew's morning show today included County Agents and youth leaders Karen DeZarn and Heath Lusty. Throughout the week, 4-H members from Lampasas and Lometa also interviewed on the morning show about their projects and National 4-H Week, which has been going on all week long. The members were Kasi Andrews, Shiann Burkett, Sanaa Borland, Emily Lusty, Sara Lusty and Brylie Turner (below).

4-H currently has a Paper Clover Drive going on at Tractor Supply, where you can stop by and visit with local 4-H members about their projects and buy a paper clover to support the 4-H organization. Other projects 4-Hers can get involved in are livestock projects, sewing, cooking, photography and almost anything imaginable, including numerous community service and volunteer opportunities. To sign your child up for 4-H (they have to be 3rd -12th grade), go to tx.4honline.com for registration or call the local AgriLife Extension Office at 512-556-8271, ext. 140.
