Lampasas Badger Football (1-4) is getting ready for their first District game on Friday when they travel to Gatesville for a meeting with the (3-2) Hornets. That game will kick off at 7:30pm, and will be broadcast on Lampasas Radio’s KCYL 1450 AM.

The Lometa Hornets, coming off another win, will head to Blanket on Friday for a 7:30pm game.

Badger Cross Country and Lampasas Middle School Cross Country host the Lampasas Invitational on Thursday at Lampasas High School starting at 8:30am. Lampasas

Badger Varsity Tennis (already District Champions) will host Copperas Cove on Friday, October 7 with matches starting at 4pm. Lady Badger Volleyball coach Denise Ponder, after the team's match with Taylor last night, said, "We started a little slow but warmed up toward the end of the 1st set. The entire team stayed focused and motivated never losing sight of our goal, we're almost over that hump and if we keep playing the way we did today we will get there." The Lady Badgers lost a 4 game match 1-3 with scores of 13-25, 19-25, 25-18 and a close final at 23-25. The JV team lost 23-25 and 19-25; while the 9th grade team won the first game 25-17, then lost the next two 20-25 and 26-28.
