One 4-H member from Lampasas was among 23 area youth honored during the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service's District 7 4-H Gold Star Banquet. The annual event was Oct. 24 in the Bill Franklin Center in Coleman. The honoree was Sydney Dishman from Lampasas, daughter of Dale and Becca Dishman. Sydney has been in 4-H for 7 years. Her major accomplishments in 4-H include winning showmanship at the local stock show and winning a blue ribbon at the state photography contest.
The Gold Star Award is AgriLife Extension's highest youth award given on the county level.
