Squared Silly….Although Halloween and most trick or treating is on Monday, Lampasas is gearing up with costumes and fun for the whole family on the courtyard square today.
The fun begins at 5pm with bounce houses, a mini haunted house, and many more surprises. The kids costume contest, hosted by Lampasas Radio’s Ronnie Witcher has something different this year…..there will be a family costume contest for moms and dads and aunts and uncles and gramps along with kids contests (by age groups). There is also a costume contest for pets, large pets and small pets.
Many of the stores on the square will be open with Halloween treats and goodies and there will be all sorts of food vendors. Bring the family and have some fun!
Lampasas Badger Marching Band is at Mary Hardin Baylor University today, marching in the UIL Area D Marching Contest.
Lil’ Badger 5th grade tackle football team is playing for the league championship at noon today at the field by Lampasas High School. Might see some future Badgers there... Lampasas Trade Days is going on starting Saturday at 9am, with lots of vendors, and continuing on Sunday. Just past Walmart at 2646 Hwy 190 E.
The Lampasas High Class of 1959 is having its 57th Class Reunion today starting at noon at the Country Kitchen at 307 N. Key in Lampasas
Hoffpauir Chevrolet is hosting a fundraiser for the Lampasas High Soccer Program (Badgers and Lady Badgers) starting at 9am. For each test drive that takes place, a donation will be made to the Soccer Program.
Copperas Cove is having the Fall-O-Ween Festival from 4pm to 8pm in the City Park.
The Peyton Jones Benefit Golf Tournament at Hancock Park Golf Course has a 1pm shotgun start. It is a 3 person scramble for $210 a team, with food provided. All proceeds benefit Peyton Jones.
The Fall Festival at the First Street Church of Christ is from 6-8pm. Games and fun for the family. Located at 1st & Walnut.
Central Christian Church is having its Annual Block Party from 6-8pm at 204 S. Broad.
Christ the Rock Church will be having its Fall Fun Festival from 6-8pm.
