Badger Football (1-7/0-3) will be on the road in Burnet today for a matchup with the Bulldogs(6-2/1-2). The Badgers currently reside at the bottom of the heap in district play and have this chance to move up and into what would likely put them in a three way tie with Burnet and Gatesville.                         

Lometa's Hornet Football (4-4) has a district road game against Nueces Canyon(2-6) on Friday.                                                  

The Badger Freshmen football game was a wild shootout with the Badgers winning 42-36.                                                         

Badger JV Football  found itself behind early on, but came from behind to win 46-36/.

Badger Varsity Tennis was the #1 seed going into the tournament on Thursday in Bryan, but sometimes seeds do not mean much….Lampasas played Robinson in the semifinals at 1:30, and the Badgers were up in 5 of the 7 matches, taking the first sets. Lampasas finished the doubles with a 4-3 lead. The girls swept the doubles. Rash/Folks were able to win the 3rd set tiebreaker to get their win. Cavalieri/McGuire played well but Robinson’s #1 team was strong. #3 Carroll/Belanger won the first set, lost focus in the second and fell in the third set tiebreaker, 15-13.

In singles, Cavalieri fell to the state champion. McGuire played well, but also came up short. Lawson came off with an easy win as did Claussen, followed by a win from a rash. Lampasas was up 7-5 before Dwamena and Gillis fell. Hunter played one of her better singles matches to give us a 8-7 lead. Belanger lost, Connell won, Folks lost to make the team score 9-9. Carr was last and lost making the team final 9-10.

The Lampasas Badgers were defeated in the semifinals by 2 points. Lampasas Varsity tennis has had an awesome season.
