The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Burnet, Lampasas, and Llano counties will host the 2016 Central Texas Hay Production Workshop. A program offering CEU’s will be provided to those who hold a Private Applicators License for $25.00 with dinner included. Forage, Feed and Chemical Specialist from around the state will be attending to present educational topics in their field of expertise.
Program discussion topics will address Laws and Regulations Update by Heath Lusty County Extension Agent, Lampasas County, Importance of Fertilizer Timing, Hay Test and Soil Test presented by Dr. Larry Redmond, Extension Forage Specialist, Use of Prescribed Fire on Hay Fields presented by Dr. Russell Morgan, Extension Rangeland and Ecology Specialist, Dow Chemical Product Update from Dillon DeMuth – Dow Chemical Field Representative and Developing a Winter Feeding/Grazing Plan presented by Dr. Whitney Whitworth from Lyssy and Eckel Feed in Llano.
The Central Texas Hay Production Workshop will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Burnet County Fair Barn and will start at 1:00 p.m. A barbecue dinner to begin at 6:30 p.m. for participants.
