Badger Football(1-5) is at home tonight with a big fight with a big fight against a big rival ahead of them. The 4-2 Liberty Hill Panthers come to town for a district game at Badger Stadium.

The game will be broadcast over KCYL 1450AM and over the internet at lampasasradio.com.

Lometa's Hornets (4-3) are off this week with an open date. Next week the team will kick off district play with a home game against Medina (1-5).

The Badger Freshmen football team displayed great heart in the second half,  but their comeback bid fell short to Liberty HIll 12-18. Ethan Rascoe Scored on a 50 yard TD run on the Badgers first score. Robert LaMountain had a big run to get the Badgers close and then Cameron Everts punched it in. The Badgers had a big hit on the ensuing onside kick but did not quite recover. The Panthers ran the time out and the final score was Badgers 12, Panthers 18.

The JV lost 8-38 to the Panthers. Xavier Drayton had some nice defensive plays in the first half for the Badgers. The Badgers were able to move the ball offensively but made too many mistakes to sustain drives. The Badgers TD drive in the second half was set up by big runs from Giovanni Bienbenu. The TD was a 12 yard pass from Jon Davis to Owen Davis. Qadir Tolliver ran in the two point conversion.
