LHS film to be shown at Austin Film Festival

“The Ripple Effect”, a film produced and edited by Lampasas High School students will debut this weekend at the 42nd annual Austin Film Festival. The film will be shown on Saturday, October 15th from 10:30am-12:15pm, and on Sunday the 16th from 11:30am-1:15pm.
This film was one of 13 films chosen out of 200 to be shown. There will be a question and answer session after all of the films have shown with the young filmmakers. Though Lampasas did not win the juried portion of the competition, the audience will have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award at the film festival. Lampasas High School also had 12 film students qualify for scholarships to attend the festival. The students will be attending celebrity panels and workshops on film and screenwriting.
