Badger Tennis saw the Badgers able to get started fairly quickly Friday at home in doubles by capturing Cavalieri/McGuire at the #1 spot as well as Rash/Folks at #2 spot. Then the girls doubles of Gillis/Lawson, and Claussen/Dwamenacame off with wins. Connell/Dunning took a little longer but pulled it out. In the mixed Bryan Munoz/Hunter fell in the first set but fought to win the second and kept it going in the tie breaker. This gave the Badgers a 6-1 lead coming out of doubles. This is huge, because then they only needed 4 singles wins.

In singles, Cavalieri played aggressive tennis to win his, McGuire and Rash both played good singles as well to capture wins. Then Folks came off with a 3rd set victory. Giving the Badgers the 10th win.......Claussen played some of her best tennis of the season to come from behind and win in the tie breaker. Connell also won after being down. Dunning and Belanger both pulled out 3 set wins as did Gillis, making the final score 15-4. Carr/Makenzie Munoz won as did Makenzie Munoz and Carroll in extra singles matches.

The players played well again. They find ways to dig down deep and keep the shots in play. The Badgers had 6 tie breakers and we were able to win each of them.
