It’s that time of year, with lots of Lampasas and Lometa FFA and 4H youth traveling the highways to show their animals and projects at stock shows around the state.
Lampasas Municipal Court will be participating in the 2019 Great Texas Warrant Round-up beginning on February 11, 2019.
The boys will be playing Salado tonight at Salado. Game times are JV 5pm and Varsity at 6:15

Friday: A 30% chance of rain will be around for the day and the evening. Starting about noon on Friday a chance of showers and or sleet with the temperature staying in the mid to upper 30s. The low should get down to about 32° overnight, and the generally NE wind will prevail but be fairly light.
Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed an attempted suicide in the 1300 block of S. Key at 8:52am, then a shots fired in the 700 block of S. Pecan at 9:08am
Brad Buckley, our newly sworn in District 54 State Representative is having an open town hall-type meeting in Lampasas on Thursday at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held at the County Annex Conference Room.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $2.8 billion in January, 6 percent more than in January 2018.
The 6% increase in Texas sales tax collections overall seemed about right, but a little spotty in Central Texas.
Varsity Girls soccer are now 2-0 in District. Tuesday night they played Academy with a 1-0 win. The lone goal of the game was made by Cobie Chandler after Madi Walden and Winter Mendez helped get the ball down field and into the perfect scoring position.
